Create designs for a large, screen room divider for the Lockleaze Community Association building.
The Lockleaze Community Association (LCA) is opening a new café in summer 2016 to support a growing program of community activities in Stoke Park. The café will be housed in the current building, and will be open daily from 10am-4pm.
As such, we are seeking students to come up with some creative designs for a large, collapsible room divider (approximately 1.8m high x 7m long), which would serve to separate off the bar area of the club from the café terrace entrance, during opening hours.
The screen could be built on-site and an eco/natural or DIY design aesthetic is greatly encouraged, in order to keep within a tight budget.
This fun project offers a fantastic real-world opportunity to work with a client and benefit the local community, as well as the possibility to get your designs built!
Suitable for students with 3D / interior / design / architecture skills.
We are recruiting now for this position, but are flexible to work around your coursework and exam schedules.
Let your imaginations run wild!
APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
Please send an email indicating your interest, course/year of study, and CV to Lisa Friedberg, Bristol Parkhive Project Coordinator, at Lisa.Friedberg@uwe.ac.uk.
Please also include a link to an online portfolio or examples of your work if you have them.
